Dogs are loyal pets and can easily adapt according to your daily life routine. But some dogs require attention for their entertainment and get stressed when little is offered. Puppies usually require more attention than adult dogs, they can’t live more than 4 hours without any special attention and this time varies from breed to breed.

For full-time workers that don’t have enough time to spend on a dog’s special care, certain breeds are there that can entertain without putting any extra stress on the owner. So, if you don’t have enough time to entertain your dog some dog breeds can fit into your environment, they will enjoy spending time with you and will not be stressed and will entertain themselves. These dog breeds are:

If you are a full-day worker and can’t give adequate entertainment to your dog, then Bassett Hounds can be a good choice for being a friendly, less aggressive dog. 4) Maltese

This bread has a reputation for entertainment and fearless qualities and loves to cuddle with the caring ones. Dachshund is a good family dog as it gets affection from all family members. If you have a Dachshund left alone at home for several hours, he can entertain himself and will happily wait for your arrival and once you get into your home he will hug you. Dachshund can be a good choice because he cannot be stressed or aggressive when left alone at home.

6) Italian Greyhound

It can be stressed when alone but this stress may fade away whenever you spend time with it and the duration of staying alone can be increased gradually with affection and love.

7) Beagle

Beagle is a gentle and friendly dog breed that is not too aggressive. They are famous for their even-tempered behavior. They are small in size and have medium energy reserves. They can entertain themselves when left alone for several hours. So if you are a full day worker and wish to have a caring, friendly, and loyal companion canine, Beagle could be the one. Its friendly nature and welcoming kisses and hugs on your arrival at home will make all your tiredness fade away. For its good energy reserves, you can easily be free from the worries of its hunger.

Boston Terrier is a gentle, lively, loyal, smart, and affectionate dog breed. He has an even temperament. Although, he has a stubborn nature training makes him behave well. For a full-time worker, a Boston terrier can be a good companion but he needs some food, water, a source of entertainment, and a place for proper rest. It can easily spend twelve hours alone. Boston terrier enjoys his own company and can feel relaxed while alone at home. He will wait for your arrival at home.

13) Labradoodle

Labradoodle is a smart, friendly, energetic, sociable dog, and very intelligent dog breed. Their friendly nature makes them affectionate with adults, children, and pets equally. They like to swim and are good swimmers. They can easily learn tricks. If you are a full-time worker and love to get a pet dog, and you have set a toilet from them at home, then Labradoodles are best for you. But if there’s no toilet for your pet Labradoodle, then you cannot leave your pet alone for more than 5 hours, due to the small bladder capacity of this pet. Irish Wolfhounds are gentle, noble, friendly, sensitive, loyal, easygoing, and have a big heart. They can run with good speed but they usually run slowly in the house and it reflects their obedience. They have a higher weight, up to 200 pounds, and need exercise for the maintenance of weight, to look lean, slim, smart, and healthy. If you have an apartment for your companion Irish wolfhound, it can stay at home alone with clam during your working hours. He cannot show any aggressive behavior for spending several hours alone. But a long duration of wait will make him bored and show destructive behavior.

15) Lhasa Apso

The Lhasa Apso is an affectionate, easy keepers, lively, and a good companion. Lhasa apso is an intelligent dog and can easily master all the tricks. Its friendly nature makes it more popular among your family members. It is famous for its tendency to do work for itself. It can entertain itself for several hours. It can become stubborn, get anxious, and will bark with a sharp and loud voice if kept alone for much longer time (more than eight hours). But for a short duration, it is the best companion to be kept alone, it waits for you while you are working.

Many other dog breeds can stay alone at home, such as Lhasa Apso, Italian Greyhounds, Irish Wolfhounds, Labradoodle, Boston Terrier, Shar Pei, Bullmastiff, Bernese Mountain, Cocker Spaniel, Beagle, Dachshund, and Maltese are good dog breeds for full-day workers. They have different temperaments and can stay alone for a variable number of hours. Most of them are non-aggressive in nature and are calm and peaceful. They show gentle behavior. They are proved to be a good companion. Lhasa Apso has small bladder capacity therefore, cannot stay alone for more than eight hours if you don’t have a pet’s toilet at your home. All these dog breeds have good energy reserves so that the owner can have several hours at work out of worries. But try to not leave your pet alone for a long time, it will make them bored and stressed.
